About the Role

We’re looking for a Portuguese-BR language expert to help evaluate and improve custom AI tools and content deliveries for the Brazil market. You’ll partner with our team to validate AI-translated PDP copy for ecommerce use and help shape how Talkoot produces accurate, fluent content for this market. Your linguistic insight goes directly into the product.

  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote, In-Country (Brazil)
  • Total Commitment: 15-20 hours
    • Style Guide support (creation, validation, editing): estimated 2–5 hours
    • AI refinement (feedback, editing, output validation): estimated 8–15 hours

 

What You’ll Do

  • Language Lead: AI Training & Governance
    • Contribute to Style Guide creation and oversight
    • Own language quality and governance
    • Ensure all client feedback is properly incorporated and validate future outputs against customer direction
  • Post-Editing & Proofreading
    • Review AI-generated transcreations for accuracy, fluency, terminology, grammar, style, brand and legal requirements, and SEO/AEO (as applicable)
    • Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, or cultural issues
    • Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate language
    • Provide structured feedback on linguistic and cultural quality
  • AI Refinement
    • Edit AI outputs into reference-quality copy samples used to improve AI writers
    • Provide specific, constructive feedback on sample outputs (e.g., flagging tone inconsistencies, incorrect register, or brand voice drift)
    • Incorporate and interpret client feedback, translating specific notes into scalable AI guidance
    • Identify not only what doesn’t work in content, but why it doesn’t work
  • Availability & Workflow
    • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
    • Assignments come on a rolling basis over a 4–6 week period; we’ll give as much lead time as possible, but smaller tasks may require a quick turnaround (<48 hours)
    • Estimated project timeline: June 25 – July 31

 

Who You Are

  • Native fluency in Portuguese for Brazil
  • Background in marketing translation, transcreation, localization, or adaptation — ecommerce and PDP content preferred
  • Fluent in both Portuguese and English, with strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale with strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Experience and comfort with AI workflows: prompting frameworks, language evaluation, governance, and detailed feedback loops
  • Flexible and willing to learn new tools
  • Nice to Have: Subject matter expertise in consumer electronics
