SaaS solution helps brands easily produce and manage product copy, and
two prominent Portland executives join leadership team
PORTLAND, Ore. (April 12, 2017) – Portland-based company talkoot, a product content production tool for consumer-centric brands, has announced the launch of its cloud-based SaaS platform. This product copy production and management platform improves the productivity of copywriters and content marketers to help increase the speed to market for product content. Until now, the industry standard was to use Excel and MS Word to author product content, which is inefficient, prone to errors, and unmanageable in high volumes. From 2014 to June 2016, the platform had been an internal solution offered only through Thread, a copywriting studio founded by talkoot CEO, Brian Hennessy.
“Creating and managing product copy with a consistent voice or story across multiple channels has become an incredible challenge for brands,” said Hennessy. “Brand teams need a centralized, streamlined way to write, edit, translate and approve copy quickly and at scale. talkoot allows those teams to quickly and efficiently create high volumes of credible, legal and branded copy that helps spark shoppers to click the buy button.”
As of today, adidas, Mountain Hardwear and Dr. Martens have signed on as clients.
“talkoot has been a game changer for the team at Mountain Hardwear. Thanks to talkoot we now have a vastly improved ability to manage product information, product copy and workflow. We have better visibility and more efficient collaboration, requiring far less time and fewer resources to manage. talkoot’s user interface is intuitive, flexible and responsive,” said Annabel Heinemann of Mountain Hardwear. “We couldn’t be happier with talkoot as our product information management system.”
talkoot is also excited to announce the addition of senior leadership hire, Derwyn Harris. He will help scale the business into additional markets that need help managing a content-rich future. Harris joins talkoot after 10 years at Jama Software, where he was co-founder and served in a variety of strategic roles. He now serves as CPO and COO for talkoot.
